Smilies/Emoticons

Smilies are a way of adding a little fun to your forum :D

As WordPress defaults to substituting it’s own smilies (or emoticons) you will probably want to switch that option off. You can find the option under Settings → Writing on the admin menu.

You can use the traditional characters for smilies as follows:

You can also use one of many other smilies by putting curly brackets around the name in the table below.
