Multisite with Multiple languages

I'm thinking of converting to Multisite mode because I would like to install a version of my site that has a unique look and feel of the main language groups. In other words I want to quickly and easily replicate the entire configuration of my existing site as a “template” for each of the ten biggest language communities, and give them each a slightly different feel to suit each community. My question is will Symposium allow me to install a seperate language for each subdomain - all running off one installation of symposium. Thanks.

@norm I think you are going to have install a translator as you can have only one po file in wps that I am aware of at this time.

Does Symposium work with Transposh? I see it works with Buddypress - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/transposh-translation-filter-for-wordpress/ If not, which plugin do you recommend?

The problem with a translator is that all symposium pages are custome pages and the translatores do not like reading them at all. I have tried a coupole now and they do regular pages but not WPS for some reason.

I also tried quite a few and had no luck but then I tried the Microsoft Translator and it did a good job: http://www.microsoft.com/web/solutions/mstranslator.aspx

I would love to know if anyone has tried WPML – The WordPress Multilingual Plugin, with Symposium? This seems to be rated the best Wordpress Translation plugin but I have not tested it yet simply because it's not free - so I would not like to pay money for something that may not be compatible.
