v12.09 Release Candidate

As previously mentioned, during the "holiday season" I don't want to release any major changes that might cause significant problems, and then not be around to fix them.

Having said that, I don't want to avoid putting out features for those who want to give them a go (when time and holidays allow).

So I'll maintain a release candidate that anyone (not just bronze members) can download to try/use - at their own risk. Instructions to download the release candidate are on the download/install page.

What's in the release candidate is as per the Bronze member voting page, but I'll list them here too for quick reference:

Manage gallery albums through the dialog box

Can re-order photos in a gallery by dragging and dropping the thumbnails

Option to "stick" the profile menu to the screen in position as the page is scrolled down

Finally, the admin guide is nearer completion that not nearer completion... It includes the above changes, and can be download here. It's currently 102 pages and exists as a 13MB PDF document.

Hi @simon,

First of all, great to see you add the scrolling menu in so quickly after my request!

However, A little bit of feedback for you,

I've just installed the RC, and for some reason its giving my WPS pages a huge ammount of white space?

I don't know if it's something I'm missing, or if Its isolated to the menu? - ( I have disabled it and it still does it)

Anyway, I hope you can look into it if you get time!

Does the white space have a div ID or class (use Firefox+Firebug)? Is it available to see via a URL?

Just to let you know this has been sorted out and will be in v12.09 RC2 which I'll upload later today (UK evening, about 11 hours time....). Will be available when version on WPS (see footer) is also RC2.

another issue i've found...

when trying to delete an album I am getting this

For v12.09 RC2 I've gone through and checked/fixed a number of issues that may have gone un-noticed, but that I've picked up. I've checked and deleting albums seems okay (can't replicate), but as I'm looking at your Silver Helpdesk ticket at the moment, I'm going to put RC2 on to your site and give it a go on your site to see if I can replicate there.

I am getting no "like" or "dislike" buttons when checkbox is checked...

This happens on release 7.7 and on newest release candidate (fresh install + symposium w/ standard theme).

Firebug does not show divs or images within as i can see by firebugging this site (wpsymposium.com).

(wondering out loud...) why would the symposium site show these divs/imgs and not mine. The only difference that is immediately apparent is IIS7.

Anyhow - no likes or dislikes no matter how many times i check/uncheck the box ${#emotions_dlg.hmmm}$

maybe the "likes" don't like IIS7?..?...

-also it might be nice to have an "off" switch for the following/followers feature. Some situations this just doesn't apply. will comment out for now.....
